Hi, I’m Esther, founder of Messy Hands Ltd. I moved to Kanturk from the UK in 2014. Having left a busy and very demanding career as a secondary school teacher I was looking for a new venture, something that was child friendly as I am mum to two small boys. Messy play sessions are very popular in the UK and I believed there was an opportunity to offer them here and so Messy Hands was born.
In my third year of business I am delighted to be receiving a really positive reception from the children and parents who come along to our Messy Play session. The popularity of Messy Play has led to the introduction of Messy Play sessions in Glanmire and at The Village Hall in Cork city in recent months.
2017 saw the expansion of Messy Events too with a wide variety of exciting excursions each individually planned with the clients’ needs and budget in mind. Highlights for me included craft by the lake at Dinis Cottage in the Killarney National Park, portrait painting in the Newcastle West Library and making it snow at the Creative Christmas Workshop!!
Messy Play Workshops are an exciting new venture for Messy Hands this year. We can now offer workshops to parents, childcare practitioners and teachers who wish to learn more about messy play. The first workshop held in Ballincollig in Februray 2018 was a great success and more workshops will now be planned in different locations in the coming year, look out for more details on our Facebook page!
Please enjoy looking around the Messy Hands website for Messy Play session, Messy events or inspiration and I hope to see you soon,
